Educational Websites:
Rubric Maker
This is a free website where you can choose your subject and the website gives you suggested rubrics. Within the rubrics, you are given suggested areas to score with their grading descriptions. If you don't exactly like what they have given you, you can modify it to your preferences. This is a quick and easy way to make rubrics rather than trying to always figure it out on your own!
National Geographic Education
This page is for teachers and is sponsored by National Geographic. There are many different materials that could be used on this website. Depending on your topic, there are videos that you can show your students, there is an interactive map that students could work with, satellite images, activities, and many other resources that the teacher could use as well as the students.

This website offers different videos for the students to watch on different subjects based on either secondary resources or primary resources. For example, under the primary resource collection, the different subjects are listed. Then under each subject, there are videos based on specific topics. One of the videos under math has to deal with problem solving. In the video, students are given real life problems, that they need to solve. Using these different videos would help to get your students' attention rather than you always talking.
